Graduated in French philology, she always felt comfortable with art in all its expressions, her parents, opera lovers, chose to name their daughter Norma, in honor of the opera by Vicenzo Bellini. From a very young age she studied classical dance and her childhood was spent in an environment of great artistic sensitivity, soon she felt attracted to photography, making her first steps with her father’s Nikon camera and inspired by the works of the masters of photography which deepened her deepest senses bringing to the surface what would become her profession.
She began her training after completing a professional photography course at EFTI, as well as a professional Photoshop course, attending various workshops with renowned photographers over the years.
Norma does much more than she imagines, she looks at you and knows everything about you, your goodness and your weaknesses, like a magician, the magic that you see in her work, that first starts in her eyes and therefore, passes to the camera lens, only sweetness and acceptance comes out because she accepts you as you are, she never judges, never hesitates, and she is able to transform you into someone very special. She transforms your insecurities into illusions with her great aplomb. She transforms your fears into courage with her great serenity. She transforms your defects into smiles with her sincere joy. She magnifies the best in you and exalts it with her incredible transparent gaze. She gets involved and accompanies you, discovers you, accepts you, heals your soul with her smile, admires you, shakes your hand and then takes a photograph of you. De Chávarri can never be grateful enough for the privilege of accompanying her on this journey.
