During these 25 years of professional life in the field of medicine, Curra, family doctor and anesthetist,\nhas developed her activity in the field of anesthesiology and resuscitation, in different specialties, but with\nextensive experience in the world of plastic, aesthetic and reconstructive surgery.<\/p>\n

Thus, she has been able to meet a multitude of women from all walks of life, professionals, mothers,\ndaughters, sisters, friends… She has established a very close bond with all of them in the anesthesia\nconsultation, a moment when many of their insecurities and fears come to light, but also their hopes and\ndesires, not only in the strictly medical field, but also in their most human side. Women who finally place\nall their trust in you, leaving their lives in your hands on the day of surgery.<\/p>\n

In addition to her medical activity in Spain, since 2018 she has been making annual trips to Cameroon with\nthe organization “Cirujanos Ortop\u00e9dicos Espa\u00f1oles para el Mundo” (Spanish Orthopaedic Surgeons for\nthe World), an organization that carries out an enormous amount of medical, surgical, educational, and\nhuman work. She would say that apart from carrying out her work as an anesthetist there, she\nfundamentally learns from the people of that place, the deepest and most revealing intricacies of the\nhuman condition. This is the organization with which she intends to collaborate with her new women’s\naccessories project De Ch\u00e1varri.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Cristina has a degree in economics and is an expert in quality management, a concept she implements in\nall her business projects. After working as head of recruitment and head of human resources in large\ncompanies, she dedicated her efforts to the management and direction of her own company, which had\na children’s fashion business, a tireless worker, close to people.<\/p>\n

She imprints talent and determination, in an astonishing mixture of strong character and exquisiteness in\neverything she does.<\/p>\n

DeCh\u00e1varri is a small fragment of the universe of women, a place where we all have a full space, not under\na sometimes irrational feminism, but simply being, existing and breathing, in this path of life that makes\nus stumble but at the same time teaches us so much.<\/p>\n

We learn that the greatest treasure of the human being is freedom. That the greatest treasure and longing\nof a woman is freedom. Freedom to exist and breathe, to create. Because to create is to love the freedom\nto decide our own destiny and for this, there is only one way: work, dignified work.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

We wanted to capture this idea in an object. And what could be better than a work briefcase to put our\nwhole life in it and to go out every day to fight for our desires, to work for the well-being of our family,\nour children, our families. We are told that women are caregivers, and it is true. Caretakers of the world.<\/p>\n

The briefcase, symbol of our freedom, seemed archaic, boring, and masculine. So, as the last thing the\nDeCh\u00e1varri woman renounces is her essence as a woman, we decided to adapt the briefcase concept to\nthat of a bag that is certainly feminine and elegant, with the practicality and purpose of the briefcase.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

And so, we decided to create our briefcase-bag to spread our wings and fly, fly as far as the current of air\nwants to take us. \"\"\nCris and I were in our twenties when we went on a beautiful trip to Paris in the early 90s. It was an\nunforgettable trip, we found ourselves in one of the most magical environments on the planet, because\nof the illusion that our parents transmitted to us and because of the uncontainable amazement that\ncomes from being in a city like Paris for the first time, at that age when dreaming is almost like breathing.<\/p>\n

That morning we organized a visit to the magnificent Louvre museum, with that respectful excitement\nthat comes from being in a sanctuary of history, beauty and the greatness of man. Once there, we began\nto climb the monumental Daru staircase, and as we ascended, the Goddess of Victory, an imposing Greek\nmarble sculpture 2.75 meters high, began to appear before us.<\/p>\n

That sculpture appeared before me like a mystical revelation, I had to hold my breath… I saw in warm\nmarble the representation of a woman stepping forward with overwhelming firmness and determination,\nin a brave and defiant attitude towards life, of titanic strength, but also of unparalleled sensuality,\nincredibly delicate and harmonious, with her belly representing the center of her whole universe. A\nwoman without a face, representing all women since the beginning of time. I saw in her imposing solitude,\nher wings open, dazzling, in an attitude of victory, but also of freedom.<\/p>\n

Thirty years later, I may have forgotten some of the details surrounding the sculpture itself, but what\nremains with me with total clarity are the sensations and emotions that the vision of that sculpture\nproduced in me.<\/p>\n

I sensed that life would be like climbing that staircase: it would not be easy, and I would even fall on more\nthan a few occasions. But like that sculpture, a majestic representation of woman, I would have to get up\nagain and again. I saw myself in it, and I saw all the women in the world. We were told that women could\nnot fly, but there she was, proving that yes, women have wings, and that we can fly.<\/p>\n

I knew that vision would be with me for the rest of my life and that every woman can be her own majestic,\nwinged victory at the top of a flight of stairs, powerful in her solitude, imposing in her sensuality, victorious\nin her freedom.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In a conversation with the owner and director of the factory of our bags, this wonderful woman told me:\n“I have called your collection the pandemic collection, because it was born in the middle of the Covid-19\npandemic”. I remember a precious trip to Ubrique to meet this woman, the only person who wanted to\nwelcome me with a small project in the middle of a world of giants: the manufacture of leather handbags\nin Spain. Nothing foretold that anyone would want to receive a person who was totally alien to the world\nof fashion and accessories. Nobody, except her, opened their doors to me. When we sat down to talk, she\nsaid to me: “make me believe in your project”.<\/p>\n

I immediately knew the kind of woman she was, determined and very committed, one of those people\nwho put heart into all her work, someone with the courage to get involved in a small project, humble in\nits conception but a project with soul after all.<\/p>\n

I knew I had to give her more than a project, more than a bag made on paper, more than numbers and a\nlist of ideas. I knew I had to conquer her woman’s soul. And it wasn’t difficult, because the connection\nbetween the two of us was almost immediate: we both know what moves us and what is worth fighting for.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
